Victorian clay marbles were made by the potters at the end of a day for their children. They were hand rolled, fired in the kiln and then dipped in paint. The paint on this marble has been washed off by the North Sea. Victorian clay marbles were produced between 1890 - 1920 and much loved toys.

Clay marble found on the rough coasts of Scotland. This marble has not been altered in any way, there is no glue or channel drilling involved in this piece of jewellery. It is important to me that the marble is 'untouched' just the way it was found on the beach.
