Black Sea Glass Marble, Blue and Yellow Stripe Scottish Beach Marble

  • £50.00

Pirate glass marble! This beach found Black marble lwith a blue and yellow stripe is black - or at least even a very strong light does not show a colour... it might be purple? This is a very rare marble!

Marble set in silver plated bezel setting. The marble has not been channel drilled, it is set in the silver wrapping without having been altered.

Marble is approx 18mm diameter and comes with a silver plated necklace in 20" length

Codd bottles were used up until the 1920s to keep carbonated drinks, the bottle was opened, the marble was released... a favourite toy for young boys, who loved playing what we would now consider old fashioned games with them Eventually some Codd marbles ended up in the Sea.

Sea glass marble found on the rough coasts of Scotland near Edinburgh. This marble has not been altered in any way, there is no glue or channel drilling involved in this piece of jewellery. It is important to me that the marble is 'untouched' just the way it was found on the beach.
