ULTRA RARE Opalescent White Marble necklace - opaque white sea glass beach found marble

  • £100.00

ULTRA RARE! This is an extremely rare opalescent white sea glass marble. It was found in Seaham and is opaque. The surface is covered in C marks, this marble must have encountered numerous rocks during its time in the North Sea.

This marble is absolutely gorgeous and an incredibly rare piece of sea glass!

Set in silver plated bezel setting. The marble has not been channel drilled, it is set in the silver wrapping without having been altered.

Marble is approx 16mm diameter and comes with an 18" sterling silver necklace

Codd bottles were used up until the 1920s to keep carbonated drinks, the bottle was opened, the marble was released... a favourite toy for young boys, who loved playing what we would now consider old fashioned games with them Eventually some Codd marbles ended up in the Sea.

Sea glass marble found on the rough coasts of Cumbria/England. This marble has not been altered in any way, there is no glue or channel drilling involved in this piece of jewellery. It is important to me that the marble is 'untouched' just the way it was found on the beach.
