Sea Clay Marble In Turtle Pendant

Really cute Victorian clay sea marble (18mm diameter) kept inside a silver plated turtle on silver plated chain in 20" length.

This clay marble has a lovely earthy colour.

Sea marble is from the east coast of Scotland and approx 18mm diameter

Clay marbles were once cherished toys with a colourful glaze. Over 100 years in the Sea have washed off the glaze and left the marble with a smooth surface, here with a beige and white swirl pattern. Clay marbles were very popular in Victorian times, around 1890s.
