Apricot Lavender Alexandrite Necklace - Sea Glass 22" Sterling Silver

Very rare pieces of apricot and lavender sea glass from Scotland, paired with Neodymium/ Alexandrite glass drop beads that change colour in different light! Very rare beach treasures captured in sterling silver on 22" sterling silver rolo chain, fitted with double side leaf design bails.

SIZE: Sea glass is approx 1.8-2.3cm length, on an 22" sterling silver chain.

Lavender - Manganese in the glass reacted with sun light over years and turned the sea glass ever so slightly lavender.

Neodymium? Colour changing glass also called Alexandrite was first discovered in 1885. The production process was perfected in the 1920's in England and Germany and became really popular. Neodymium glass looks purple in daylight and changes to a blue grey under fluorescent light. Derived from the Greek words 'neos' (new) and 'didymos' (twin).

Apricot - Depression Glass
