Scottish Spongeware Sea Pottery Bracelet - 7” plus 1” Sterling Silver

  • £70.00

Gorgeous colourful Scottish Spongeware sea pottery bracelet in a rainbow of colours make an outstanding bracelet that you will not find a second one of!

All of these Spongeware pieces were produced by one pottery in Fife around 1880-1920s, the Methven / Links pottery in Kirkcaldy.

Sea pottery is top drilled and then fitted with sterling silver bails and clasp. The bracelet is 7” and has a 1” extender chain - you can attach the clasp in any of the links!

Entire length is 8” - sea pottery is approx 2cm each

Where does this pottery come from?
There is a river that runs into the North Sea where over 100 years ago 4 potteries stood - the river sings, when the pottery pieces make their way out to Sea... a wonderful sound, like bells...this is where these pieces are from.

Found on the east coast of Scotland. Tumbled since Victorian times and now you can own a little piece of Scotland! Sea glass-pottery found by me.
